Our mission is to create a learning environment for children that allows them to flourish in their natural world.

We believe so much can be learned through play and nature. The education provided through this program is one that we believe is truly impactful to our children. 

Children are our future. Play is integral in the process of learning and a major part of the foundation of self-empowerment. We believe in taking the best of both worlds, nature and play, to create an experience for children that will foster exploration, excitement, creativity and self-efficacy. 

Woods Of Wonder is a nature based kindergarten program for preschool to eighth grade children on 41 acres of woods in Strafford, New Hampshire.

    “Miss Liza has the perfect property and set-up for outdoor learning and exploration! Chickens, a pond, hills for sledding, and “The Landing” (a small cleared area with some larger logs [good balance practice]).  Miss Liza’s love for learning, teaching, and anything outside is contagious! My son (5) loved being outside but after going to Miss Liza’s for the last school year he absolutely thrives outside. He’s started growing his own garden, tries to trap every bug to turn into a “pet” to observe and take care of, wants his own chickens, and anything outside based. The nature based learning is super compatible with my sons personality; sometimes he’s a level 10 energetic, crazy, loud which is completely accepted and encouraged with free imaginative play. He can also be a level 1 and 100% focused, calm, and inquisitive which is nurtured through their outdoor exploring: examining tracks to determine which animal left it, watching insects, birds, and wildlife in its daily life/habitat.  My son has flourished over the last year with the help of Miss Liza and the opportunity for outside nature based learning.”

About Liza (the leader)

Liza is a human care bear and money mindset maven. She has her master’s degree in education and launched her own wealth coaching business when her daughter was born. Her specialty is teaching others. Creating and leading Woods Of Wonder has allowed her to develop her passion for nature and mesh it with her passion for teaching.

Whether she is teaching about porcupines, slowing down and heading to the woods, educating others, or showing them how to pay off debt and reframe their thinking about wealth, she is doing it with passion and love. Liza is a work from home Mom to her two children and loves tea, gummy bears, and baking!
